LET'S FLAMINGO
Experience Palm Desert's first 18 hole putting green. Known as the Flamingo, the green features wild slopes and hills to challenge any golfer, but can also be set up for a less-severe test for golfers. The Flamingo name comes from Biggi’s love of flamingos and from a raised image of a flamingo in the center of the green that causes some of the sharp slopes. That flamingo was put into the green at Biggi’s request by architect Jay Blasi.

Shadow Mountain Golf Club is a hidden gem in Palm Springs. I loved the homey feel of the course, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a great round. The layout is on the shorter side, but the tight fairways keep it challenging and fun. The course was in excellent shape, and it’s clear they take great care of it.
The best part of the experience was the staff, especially Bruce, the starter. He was absolutely awesome—friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great time. The overall vibe here is laid-back and inviting, making it a perfect spot for golfers who want to enjoy a well-maintained course without the stuffy country club feel. I’d definitely play here again!

We played this course on March 4th and loved it! It’s well maintained and beautiful scenery. The staff, from the pro shop to the starter to the servers, were helpful and friendly. A hidden gem with a fun and whimsical atmosphere for a post golf bite to eat or drink on the outdoor patio.

Thoroughly enjoyed playing golf here. Julian (and whole crew) is top notch friendly and helpful. Impressive maintenance for off season. Currently working several tee boxes but still very challenging course. And again, so well maintained. Definitely want to return to take more advantage of giant putting green sometime.
